Has anyone else been following the mystery around Thomas Matthews III and the tragic death of Kerry Dewayne Young? I can’t stop thinking about how Kerry’s family must be feeling, especially knowing that they might never see justice since Matthews is no longer around to face charges. It’s heartbreaking that violence like this can escalate to such an extent that lives are irrevocably changed in a matter of moments. I'm curious about what more can be done to encourage witnesses to step forward in cases like these. It seems like everyone is tight-lipped because of fear or distrust, but there must be ways to make people feel safe enough to share what they know. What are your thoughts? Could community programs or police initiatives help build that trust? If anyone from Williamsport is here, has there been any change or new initiatives since this all went down?
