I’ve been thinking a lot about the surveillance footage in Ebony Pack’s case. It's chilling to imagine that moment when Vance’s Cadillac pulled up beside her vehicle. Surveillance cameras can sometimes bring mixed feelings — they are crucial for justice, yet sadly, they capture moments that remind us of the violence people can inflict on others. My heart goes out to Ebony's family who had to endure viewing those images, knowing it was the last moments of her life. I'm hoping more people realize how real and close to home incidents like this can be, and that it might spur a moment of reflection about the people in their own lives who may need support or protection. This tragedy underlines the work still needed to tackle domestic violence and the darkness it often spirals into. Let's not forget Ebony and strive for preventive measures in our communities.
