I've been absolutely haunted thinking about Jhalil Shands and what his loved ones are going through. I walked along Chestnut Street many times, and it's hard to imagine something so violent happening there. The fact that he was with his girlfriend when this happened just makes it even more chilling. It's supposed to be a safe place for a simple evening walk. The details about the van with Maryland tags are so bizarre and unsettling. It makes you wonder if these guys were following them for a while. I can't stop thinking about the level of planning that must've gone into it and how terrifying it is knowing they targeted him with so many witnesses around. I hope they find answers soon, not just for Jhalil’s family, but also for the peace of mind of the community. My thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved him. Anyone with info, please step forward—Jhalil deserves his story told and justice served.

I’ve been following the investigation into Jhalil Shands’ tragic passing closely, and something that stands out to me is the chilling fact that there were 27 shots fired in a place like Old City. This area isn't typically known for such violence, making this case all the more shocking. My heart goes out to Jhalil’s family and friends who must not only grapple with their loss but also contend with the senselessness of it all. It's hard to imagine the trauma this has caused for his girlfriend as well, witnessing such a horrible event. The detail about the van with Maryland tags is interesting and makes me wonder about the connections outside of Philadelphia. Could this be linked to something broader or specific people Jhalil knew? Hopefully, the video footage released helps jog someone’s memory or pushes someone to come forward. Every piece of information counts. Stay strong, everyone — justice needs community involvement, and I believe we can help make it happen for Jhalil and his loved ones.
