I stumbled across Najee Cain's case today, and it really strikes a chord with me. I can't stop thinking about the impact he must have had as a caregiver. All those who dedicate their lives to caring for others have this incredible capacity for empathy and kindness. They touch so many lives, and from what I've read, Najee was no different. Caring for his grandmother, especially, shows a deep sense of responsibility and love. It's sad and infuriating how someone who spent his life helping others had it cut so short in such a senseless manner. My heart goes out to his family. I wish them nothing but strength and love as they continue to navigate life without him. It's hard to find closure, but I hope they find some peace knowing that justice was served.
