Just heard about the vigil being organized in Malachi John's honor this weekend, and it really got me thinking about how the community is coming together in such a meaningful way. It's hard to comprehend how someone so young could be taken so senselessly. Remember seeing posts about the GoFundMe, and from what I gather, the support has been overwhelming. It's a testament to the impact Malachi had on those around him. One of his teachers spoke at the last community meeting, sharing stories about his humor and that infectious smile of his. You could tell he was loved by so many. Hoping that by coming together, we can all work towards breaking this cycle of violence. Maybe events like the vigil can inspire us to find solutions and bring some comfort to Malachi’s family.
