It's absolutely devastating to think about what Iyad Muhammad's family must be going through right now. Reading about the possibility that the shooter was actually in the car with both victims gives me chills. It feels like it's from a scene in a movie, but it's real life, and that makes it just so much more terrifying and sad. How do families cope knowing the person responsible might have been right there, and is still out there somewhere?
I hope the community rallies around his loved ones and works with the detectives. Tiny details or just the smallest lead someone could remember might make a big difference.
