I recently came across Sha'Qual "Shack" Mercer’s story and noticed the tremendous impact he had on everyone around him. Something that caught my attention is how close-knit his family seemed to be. It's truly clear they cherished him deeply. How often do we hear about the nickname "Prescott" and instantly know this was someone full of life and character? It’s moments like these that remind me of the importance of family and the small ways we leave our mark on our loved ones. The way they gathered at St. Luke’s to say their goodbyes speaks volumes about the bonds shared. Just thinking about his son, Sky'ree, and the memories they had together is incredibly moving. I hope the family continues to find strength in each other as they navigate life without him and hold onto those cherished moments.
