Has anyone else looked into the surroundings of that hotel where James Laws’ car was found? I find it odd that there wasn't any footage or more witnesses from the area that could provide additional details. Hotels usually have a lot of people coming and going, right? With the trunk situation and that belt left behind, it seems like more people should have noticed something. Maybe the hotel staff or someone else in the area saw something unusual but didn't know its significance at the time. It’s just strange to me how his car was left there in such a suspicious state, yet leads seem limited. What do others think about this? Could the location have had security cameras or at least someone who remembers seeing the car being dropped off?

I was digging into the case of James Edward Laws, and something caught my eye. The Hot Spot convenience store where James called his mom from—it makes me wonder if anyone hanging around there that day might have seen or heard something useful. Does anyone know if this location was a regular spot for him or just a one-time thing? Payphones were major back then, and given the small-town vibe of Asheville in the '80s, maybe someone remembers seeing him. It seems like a key detail that maybe could help jog a memory. If you’re familiar with that area or have any insights, it could help piece together his last known movements. Thoughts?
