I've been following Shonna Dannette Wesley's case for a while and something that's been on my mind is the significance of the abandoned apartment complex. It's puzzling to me that her daughter was found there, yet there doesn't seem to be much public information about whether investigators looked into residents or visitors to the complex at that time. Did they speak to anyone who might have seen someone drop off the child or notice anything unusual? Apartment complexes often have people coming and going, so there must have been someone who saw something. I wonder if the area was canvassed thoroughly back in 1981, or if there were any surveillance cameras (unlikely, given the time period, but still worth considering). Would love to hear thoughts or any insights others might have uncovered about the complex or people associated with it.

Hey everyone, I've been diving into Shonna Dannette Wesley’s case, and something that keeps nagging at me is what happened in the early stages when her daughter was found. The little girl was in foster care for about a week before being claimed by Shonna’s mother, right? I'm wondering if any potential leads or clues might have been lost in that gap. I mean, did the police manage to get enough information from the complex where the child was found? Did they ever figure out how she ended up there in the first place? It's heartbreaking to think that maybe there was a crucial piece of evidence that slipped away during that time. Also, does anyone know if they ever re-interviewed the people who lived or worked in that area back then? It's just so baffling and sad how fast things can go cold, and it feels like anything from that initial discovery could have been pivotal. Would love to know what everyone else thinks about this aspect of the case.
