I was incredibly moved by the efforts of the Wilkinsburg community, especially organizations like MAD DADS, in the wake of Leodis Heards’ tragic death. It’s inspiring to see people coming together to address the violence that’s affecting their neighborhood. But it also makes me wonder, what more can be done? Community involvement is so critical, but without more support, both from law enforcement and the broader public, it feels like an uphill battle. I really hope this tragic incident sparks meaningful change and that justice is served for Leodis and his loved ones. If anyone here has any ideas on effective community safety measures, I’d love to hear them.
