Hi everyone, I've been diving into the case of John W. Newman and came across a detail that might have flown under the radar. Has anyone else looked into the role of the Excelsior factory in all of this? It's odd to me how his workplace seemed to be the last known point where he was seen, yet there isn’t much talk about whether he had any disputes or issues there. Working as the manager of the damaged shoe department, was there perhaps any internal factory politics or conflicts that could have put him at odds with someone? I wonder if the police at the time thoroughly questioned his colleagues. It could provide some insight into his state of mind or potential issues leading up to his disappearance. It breaks my heart thinking about his wife and kids during this period, not knowing where their loved one was. Having to bear the weight of speculation and uncertainty while dealing with the loss must have been unbearable. Would love to hear what you all think or if there's more info on this angle. Peace to John and thoughts with his family.
