I can't stop thinking about Alma Allgeier Ruppert and how she must have been such a loving mom to have raised eight kids. I can't even imagine the pain and confusion those little ones must have felt. It's just so hard to fathom that someone they trusted could do something so horrendous. I've been reading up on the motive, and it just doesn't make sense to me how a lack of affection or perceived slights could drive someone to commit such an unspeakable act. It makes me wonder if there were signs or if anyone around James saw this coming. Does anyone know if there were any warning signs or behaviors leading up to that day? Also, how is the wider community of Hamilton now? I’ve read that events like these can leave lingering scars. My thoughts are with those families and friends who were affected, even after all these years. The impact is surely still felt.
