I've been following Officer Kevin Brame's case on and off for a few years now, and every time I revisit it, I find myself hoping for some breakthrough, not just for the community but especially for his kids. Growing up without their dad and knowing he was taken so violently must be unbelievably tough. I can’t imagine how strong they’ve had to be. It’s frustrating that after all these years, those responsible haven’t been caught. There’s a $130,000 reward available, which is a significant amount. I really hope it encourages someone to finally come forward with information.
What catches my attention is how the shooting didn’t seem like a robbery. This makes it feel so personal and targeted, and yet, here we are, 25 years later, still in the dark. I've been following Kevin Brame's case for a while, and lately, I've been thinking a lot about the role of community silence in these unsolved tragedies.
