Has anyone seen this? I was reading up on the Saccheus case from 1987 and noticed something interesting about the Polaris Hotel in Nome. Apparently, around that time, there were several reports about the hotel's security being somewhat lax. I've come across stories suggesting things like unlocked doors and inadequate surveillance. It makes me wonder if Saccheus might have left unnoticed or if perhaps something happened inside that went unreported due to poor monitoring. Does anyone have more information about the hotel's security back then or remember hearing anything similar? It's frustrating how little info there is to go on with this case.

Hey everyone, I've been digging through some older cases and came across Saccheus, who disappeared from the Polaris Hotel in Nome, Alaska, back in 1987. It caught my eye because Nome, especially around that time, wasn't exactly a bustling metropolis. I'm curious if anyone knows about any major events or construction happening around the area back then that might have led to a transient population? Sometimes, places like that see a lot of out-of-towners, and you never know if someone passing through might have seen something related to his disappearance. If anyone has any local history knowledge or thoughts, I'd love to hear them!

It's always baffled me how many details are left hanging when it comes to Saccheus's disappearance. I was recently looking into reports from the late '80s, and it seems like Nome was a significantly quieter place back then. It makes you wonder how someone could just vanish without a trace in such a close-knit community. I’m curious if anyone remembers any rumors or discussions in Nome around that time, especially since it was such a small town. With the Polaris Hotel being a local spot, I'm sure there must have been some chatter. Anyone remember anything that stood out or seemed odd back then?
