I was reading through all the posts about what happened to Deandre Tiffany Edwards, and it just reminds me of how vulnerable some people feel in this world. I came across an article about her vigil, and it really touched me to see so many people come together to remember her. The photos of everyone holding candles and sharing stories about her life really paint a picture of how loved she was. I can't imagine what her friends and family are going through, but it's heartening to see the support from the community. I think it’s important that we continue to have conversations about the discrimination and dangers that transgender individuals face. More awareness could really help prevent senseless tragedies like what happened to Deandre. Attending rallies or community meetings might seem like small things, but they can truly make a difference. Hoping for justice for Deandre and peace for her loved ones.
