Just read about the tragic loss of Nelson Suarez in Long Beach back in 2013, and it's really concerning to see the pattern of violence in that area. It's difficult to wrap my head around the fact that he was just standing with friends when his life was suddenly taken. I can't imagine the trauma his friends and the survivor must be grappling with, not to mention the unimaginable pain his family is enduring. Even though it's been a while, I hope that someone who knows something about that evening will come forward. It's essential for both justice and to give Nelson's loved ones some semblance of peace. Gangs or not, no one deserves to have their life so violently and abruptly ended. Let's not forget the human stories behind these stats. If anyone has info, please share it with the authorities. It could make a world of difference. Stay safe out there, everyone.
