Has anyone else been following the tragic story of Jamie Garrett? My thoughts are with his family and friends as they navigate this painful time. I’ve been wondering about the role of repeat offending in this case. It’s chilling to think that Kalawn Rashad Lammkin had a prior conviction just the year before. Does anyone know what steps the system is taking to prevent violent repeat offenders from causing such devastation again? It's alarming that someone with a clear history of violence could still be in a position to harm more people. I’m hoping the legal proceedings address this so no other community has to face such a senseless loss. Thankful for the swift actions of law enforcement in bringing Lammkin in and ensuring the safety of his son, but it’s hard not to think about what could have been prevented. Thoughts?
