I've been thinking a lot about Tina Smith's case lately, and something that really stands out to me is the location where the tragic incident happened. Joseph Campau and Illinois Street is a pretty busy intersection, or at least it used to be back in 2012. I can't help but wonder why there weren't any witnesses who stepped forward or any nearby businesses with cameras that might have captured something. I’ve read that the Detroit Police Department struggled with limited resources at that time, so maybe potential leads got overlooked? It’s so frustrating because this vibrant woman was taken away, and her family deserves answers. I really hope the Cold Case Unit can uncover some new evidence. Tina deserves justice, and her loved ones deserve peace. It’s cases like these that remind us just how crucial community cooperation can be. Anyone with information, however small it might seem, could make a difference. You never know what piece of the puzzle could finally bring about the justice that’s long overdue.
