It's been over six years since Rusty Oehlers was taken from his family, and it still feels like there's so much left in the dark about his murder. One thing that really stands out to me about this case is the location and time of the attack. South Hague Avenue at 2:15 a.m. - it just makes me wonder how this robbery went so wrong so quickly. Was this place known for crime at that time? Could it have been an area where people felt more vulnerable or targeted during late-night hours? It seems odd that there were witnesses who transported him to the hospital but no solid leads on suspects. I can’t imagine the pain his family must be going through without any closure. Rusty was clearly someone who left a big impact, being so talented in sports and having a love for music and cooking. I hope that by keeping discussions alive, someone with information will eventually feel compelled to come forward to help bring justice for Rusty and healing to his family. If there's anyone more familiar with the area or the circumstances surrounding that night, any insights or thoughts could be helpful, no matter how small they might seem.

I can't stop thinking about how Rusty's case has gone cold after all this time. It's so unsettling that there's been no breakthrough, especially when he left behind his young son, Killian. I can’t even imagine what his family must be going through. How do they get up every day knowing the person responsible is still out there? Rusty seemed like such a well-loved person with a variety of talents and interests. Why doesn’t this lead to more people coming forward? Please, if anyone knows anything, reach out to the authorities. Rusty deserves justice, and his family deserves peace.
