I'm so sorry to hear about Beatrice "Nicole" Warren-Curtis's tragic passing. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless act of violence, especially her family and friends. I stumbled upon an interview with a friend of Nicole and Monica Brickhouse, and it really struck me how impactful Nicole was in her community and to those she cared about. They mentioned how she was always the one organizing events to support local charities and how her kindness was contagious. It's just so hard to reconcile how someone so devoted to making the world a better place could be taken so abruptly and unjustly. I can't help but think about what kind of person Nicole must have been to leave such a lasting imprint on those around her. It's important that we continue to share their stories, both to honor their memory and to hopefully cultivate more compassion in our communities. Sometimes it feels overwhelming, but we have to keep advocating for change and supporting each other in times like this. Nicole's legacy deserves to be remembered for the positivity and love she spread in her all too brief time with us.
