I can't stop thinking about the staff and customers who were at the restaurant when everything happened. It must have been terrifying for everyone there. I can only imagine how difficult it was for them to witness such a tragic event unfold right in front of their eyes. A lot of them will probably carry that day with them for a long time, and I really hope they're getting the support they need. It's encouraging to see Rebecca's friends and family pushing for more awareness around domestic violence. Maybe this tragedy will encourage more people to speak up and support those who need help before it’s too late. We're all part of this community, and we need to look out for one another. My thoughts are with Rebecca's loved ones. ?
I’ve been thinking a lot about Rebecca Jean Rogers' co-workers at Bob Evans who were there the morning of the tragedy. I can't imagine the shock and trauma they must have experienced witnessing such a horrific act unfold. It's not something you ever think could happen while you're just trying to get through a regular workday. I sincerely hope they've been able to access the support and counseling they need to process what they went through. I hope they're finding some measure of healing in the aftermath. If anyone has updates on how they’re doing or if any support efforts for the staff have been organized, I’d be really interested to hear about it. Let's keep everyone affected in our thoughts and continue the conversation on how we can support those impacted by domestic violence in our communities.
It's hard not to feel the weight of Rebecca's story, especially when thinking about the community at Bob Evans where she worked. I can't stop wondering how her coworkers are coping. For people who work together, especially in a close-knit place like a restaurant, it must have been incredibly traumatic to witness such a horrific event hit so close to home. The mental and emotional aftermath for her colleagues must be immense. I really hope they're getting the support they need.
Have any support groups or counseling services been mentioned for them? It feels like everyone connected to Rebecca has been affected, and they shouldn't have to navigate this on their own. It's crucial to remember the ripple effects that tragedies like this have on not just the immediate family but everyone who interacted with her daily. Her coworkers must have their own burdens to bear, and they deserve just as much consideration as anyone else.
