I’ve been thinking a lot about the area where Joseph Lewis was killed. Edgewater’s usually known for its community vibe and isn’t typically a high-crime area, so this incident really shakes residents to the core. It’s hard to imagine someone feeling that threatened where we usually feel safe, surrounded by families and friends just enjoying their day by the lake. My thoughts are with Joseph’s family; I hope they find some form of comfort during this unimaginable time. It’s so jarring to see something so violent happen in a place many of us consider home. If anyone knows anything, no matter how small it might seem, please let law enforcement know. They’ve been working hard to piece this together, and any small detail could make a big difference.

I can't stop thinking about the bravery Joseph Lewis showed during that terrifying night in Edgewater. It's truly devastating to imagine what he and his friend went through when they were cornered by someone so ruthless. Fleeing to protect themselves is such a human instinct, and I can only imagine the panic and fear they must have felt as they were trying to escape.
It's tough knowing that Joseph's kids, Jainah, Joseph, and Ja'ziah, have to face life without their dad. They deserve answers and justice for what happened. I hope the community can rally together to provide any information that can help the investigation.
