I keep thinking about the incredible pain Shawn Bender's family must be feeling. It's just impossible to imagine the loss of a child, especially in such a horrific and senseless manner. He was so young, just 16, with his entire life ahead of him. I came across some posts about his love for basketball and how he was always seen with a ball in his hands. It's clear he had dreams and people who loved him dearly. I hope the community rallies around the families affected by this tragedy. If anyone knows anything, no matter how small it seems, please consider reaching out to the Detroit Police. These families deserve answers and justice.
