This incident is more than a tragic tale—it's a harsh reminder of the real risks our officers face daily, both on and off the clock. What stands out to me is the ripple effect his actions have had within the community. There’s a palpable shift in how people are discussing safety in the area and coming together to support Shane's family. It's moving to see that in the midst of their grief, the community is rallying to honor him, keep his memory alive, and push for positive change. My heart goes out to Shane’s family and friends who lost a hero far too soon.
