Has anyone else noticed the odd jurisdiction choice in Chelsea Ricker's case? It’s just puzzling to me why the Parsippany, NJ police are leading the investigation, even though she disappeared right in Philly. I get she had some past trouble in NJ, but shouldn't the Philly PD be more involved given that's where she was last seen? Wondering if anyone has insight into how these jurisdiction decisions work, or if it's common to see this kind of lead in such cases. Just a thought that's been sitting in the back of my mind since I read up on her story.
