I'm stuck thinking about the trajectory of the bullet that killed Chelsey. How could it have traveled over 1,000 feet across Summit Lake and still had enough force to cause such a tragic outcome? Everything about this incident is deeply unsettling. It seems like some sort of fluke that something so senseless could happen while she was just relaxing at home. I have to wonder if any ballistics experts have weighed in on the chances of this happening or if there are similar cases out there.
My heart goes out to Chelsey’s family and her little girls—this is an unimaginable loss. For those who live near Summit Lake, does anyone know if there have been issues with firearms in the area before? It feels like her case needs more visibility.
