I’m really torn up over this case. It’s so upsetting to think about how a young life like JaVontae’s could be taken so suddenly. What’s even more troubling is that we still don’t have any answers about what happened that night. I’ve read that the police don’t believe his past legal issues are connected, but I’m wondering if anyone else has thought about any potential link? I hope the investigation finds a lead soon so his family can start getting some closure. It must be so tough for them, carrying this weight and uncertainty. Please, if anyone knows something, even if it seems small, don’t hesitate to share it. This family deserves justice for their son.

Did anyone else read about how the neighbors on Oakmont Street reported hearing loud voices moments before the shooting? It sounds like more than just a random act of violence. I can’t imagine the fear and confusion everyone involved must have felt in those moments. My heart goes out to JaVontae's family and friends dealing with such a devastating loss. I’m curious if police have considered if maybe JaVontae knew the shooter? Often when something like this happens, it's tied to personal connections. However, since the police haven't publicly named any suspects, it's just speculation at this point. Hoping they find answers soon. Keeping the community in my thoughts.
