I recently came across Robert Earl Demory's case, and I can't get it out of my mind. It baffles me that after all these years, we still don't have answers for his family. I was looking through some old news records and stories about that period in Rocky Mount, and I started wondering about that dark-colored car seen leaving the area. Did anyone ever talk to witnesses or neighbors who might recall seeing that vehicle around town before or after the incident? Cars stand out in people's minds, especially if they don't belong to locals. I just hope someone eventually comes forward with information about that car or its driver. My heart goes out to Robert’s family, who deserve to know what happened to their loved one. It’s so crucial to keep discussing these cases so that they aren't forgotten; Robert deserves justice, and his family deserves peace.

Did anyone else ever wonder about the timing of Robert Earl Demory's return to Rocky Mount? It's always struck me as odd that someone targeted him so soon after getting off the bus. It makes me think that whoever did this might have known he was coming back or had a keen eye on the bus depot that day. It's been over 40 years, and still no justice or peace for Robert and his loved ones. It's so frustrating knowing that someone out there might have seen something and just never realized it could be important. If there's any chance, any at all, that someone remembers a detail, no matter how small, it could make a world of difference. Thoughts and prayers to Robert's family — may they find the answers they deserve.

I was reading about Robert Earl Demory's case and couldn't help but think about the dark-colored car that was spotted leaving the scene. It's baffling that after all these years, there hasn’t been more information released about that vehicle. It's possible that someone saw something and might not realize how crucial their observation could be. Anyone in the area back in 1977 might hold a key detail without even knowing it. It’s so sad that Robert's family and the community are still waiting for answers after decades. I hope someone comes forward with information to help Team Cold Case and the Rocky Mount PD. Every small tip could make a huge difference in finally bringing justice to Robert and peace to his loved ones.
