Hey everyone, I’ve been following Officer Donald Ray Tucker’s story and recently read about his family’s push to have a bridge named in his honor. I can’t imagine the strength it takes to continually fight for this and keep his memory alive in such a public way. Naming a bridge after him seems like a fitting tribute to someone who gave so much in the line of duty. Does anyone know more about why the city council voted against it? It's perplexing, especially when other officers have had similar honors. I really hope that the community rallies around the family to get this decision reversed. Such bravery on Officer Tucker’s part, and I truly feel for his family. What an incredible legacy he’s left.
