Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum and wanted to share some thoughts. I’ve been following Omar’s case for a while now, and it’s truly disturbing to think about the randomness of how it happened. It makes you wonder about the unpredictability of life, and how someone just out on a typical day can become a victim in an instant.
What really stays with me is how Omar had his whole future ahead of him. It’s easy to see him as just another name in a tragic story, but he was someone’s son, friend, and possibly a brother. I can only imagine the pain his family and friends are going through, especially with no answers still.
With that in mind, I urge anyone who might have even the tiniest bit of information to speak up. Sometimes something that seems insignificant might be the missing puzzle piece for the investigators. Omar deserves justice just like anyone else, and his family deserves closure. Let's keep this case in the spotlight and hope for a break soon. Stay hopeful, everyone.

Was just revisiting the Omar Garmendia Flores case and got to thinking about how nerve-wracking it must have been for that person with Omar during the robbery. I can't even begin to fathom the trauma from witnessing such a brutal act and the survivor's guilt that might have followed. If they’re still in the area, they might hold key details, even if they don’t realize it. It’s really hard to come forward in situations like this, especially if you’re worried about your own safety or reliving that nightmare.
It’s compelling to think about what they might have seen or heard. Even a small, overlooked detail could shine light on these two assailants. I truly hope that someday they'll find the strength to share their story if they haven’t yet.
Can’t stress enough how sharing anything, even anonymously, with the cold case unit could make a massive difference. It’s been so long, but it’s never too late for justice and closure for Omar's loved ones.
