Hey folks, I was reading about Silvia Rivera Alvarez and got curious about the environmental challenges these migrants face, especially in the South Texas brushlands. I've seen maps of the region, and it's wild how vast and desolate it is. The heat and scarcity of water must be unbearable. I'm wondering if there are any search and rescue teams that specialize in these types of terrains? How do they navigate such expansive, rugged areas? It seems like such a monumental task, and I'm hoping there are ways for volunteers or more resources to assist in these searches. If anyone has insider knowledge or experience, I’d love to learn more about the logistics and challenges of finding individuals in such harsh conditions.
