Silvia Rivera Alvarez, a 31-year-old woman from Honduras, was last seen on June 3, 2014, near Falfurrias, Texas. She was attempting to cross into the United States as part of a large group of migrants. After crossing from Matamoros, Mexico, she and others spent about eight days in McAllen, Texas, before beginning their journey on foot through the South Texas brushlands, aiming to reach Falfurrias.
