I've been thinking a lot about the Scotts and how their deaths have affected not just their family, but also the broader community they were so deeply woven into. It's truly difficult to reconcile the image of a seemingly happy couple with the tragedy that unfolded. Does anyone else feel like it’s hard to understand what could have pushed Rev. Scott to such a desperate point? It seems like many people in their congregation viewed them as a pillar of strength and faith. I also can't imagine the trauma their granddaughter must have experienced finding them. At 16, that’s such a vulnerable age, and having to deal with something so shocking must be incredibly tough. I hope she has a strong support system around her from friends and family. And for the folks at their churches, losing a leader like Rev. Scott must be so unsettling. Praying everyone finds some peace over time.
