Did anyone else come across the witness statements in James Oxendine’s case? I can't imagine the courage it must’ve taken for them to come forward. The community’s support seemed strong at the time, but I wonder how many people feel like their voices are really being heard. Witnesses are so crucial in bringing justice, yet the fear of retaliation must weigh heavily on them. My thoughts go out to James’ family and all those trying their best to make sure his story leads to real change in that area. It's a stark reminder of how the justice system relies on brave community members to step up and speak the truth.
