Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Alisa Mackey and the tragic event that took place back in 2015. It's so tough to wrap my head around how holidays, which are meant to bring families together, can sometimes be marked by such sorrow.
I've read bits and pieces about Alisa's life, and it seems like she was really cherished by her friends and family. I just keep wondering how her loved ones are doing now. It's been a few years, but I can't imagine the pain ever entirely goes away. Does anyone know if there have been any efforts in the Charlotte community to honor her memory or support others in similar situations? It's always comforting to see communities come together in the wake of senseless tragedies.
Sending all my heart to those touched by this loss.
I can't stop thinking about the timing of this tragedy. Alisa's murder happened on Easter Sunday, a day typically filled with positivity and togetherness. It's unsettling how violence infiltrated such a sacred time and place. I wonder if the symbolism of the day had any significance in this horrific event. It just goes to show how domestic issues can tragically manifest even during holidays, which are supposed to be moments of peace and respite. My heart really goes out to Alisa's family and friends. They should have been able to enjoy that day, not have it marked by such sorrow. Does anyone have any thoughts on how holiday stress might have played a role here, or if anyone else has noticed similar patterns around other cases?
