Hey everyone, I've been following the Kouren-Rodney Bernard Thomas case and can't stop thinking about how this could have been avoided. It's so difficult to comprehend the situation that led to Chad Copley firing that shot. I've read accounts suggesting that when Copley called 911, his perception of the "chaos" was primarily based on his assumptions rather than any concrete evidence of a threat. It’s deeply troubling how such perceptions can escalate to tragedy. What's even more frustrating is thinking about Kouren-Rodney’s friends who were just trying to enjoy a social night out. Nobody could have imagined it ending in such a horrific way. I genuinely feel for them and the shock they must be carrying. They were there, ready to leave a boring party, only for the night to be shattered in such a senseless manner. My heart goes out to Kouren-Rodney’s family and community. I hope they find some strength and peace amidst the ongoing legal battles. This case continues to weigh heavily, and it feels like justice is still a long way off. Sending them all the compassion and support they deserve.
