I've been thinking a lot about how the chaotic environment during the protests affected the investigation into Justin Carr's tragic death. With so many people gathered and emotions running so high, I can only imagine how difficult it was for witnesses to clearly remember details or identify who did what. This chaotic atmosphere must have complicated things for both the investigators and the defense team trying to sift through what happened that night. It's deeply upsetting to know that Justin, who was there as part of a movement seeking positive change, lost his life in such senseless circumstances. It makes me wonder how incidents like these affect the credibility of witness testimonies when everything around them is in turmoil. I really feel for Justin's family and friends. Losing someone in such a volatile setting must be unimaginably painful.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Justin Carr’s role in the protests that night. It really hurts to know that someone who was out there standing up for a cause, wanting to see change and hoping for a better future, ended up losing their own life in such a tragic way. The fact that he was going to be a father makes it even more painful. I can’t help but feel for his family and what they must be going through, losing him and knowing his child will never get to know their dad.
It also makes me wonder about the environment during those protests. Everything must have been so tense and chaotic, with people just trying to make their voices heard amid all the confusion. I wish things had gone differently and that those in charge of maintaining peace had found a way to keep everyone safe, including Justin. It’s such a tough situation because there are no easy answers, but it breaks my heart thinking about how his expectations for that night compared to the reality of what happened.
I hope that Justin’s family finds some form of justice and peace, and that we see changes that prevent tragedies like this from ever happening again.
Has anyone else been following the aftermarket investigation into the reliability of witness testimonies in the Rayquan Borum trial? I recently read an article that took a deep dive into how chaotic the scene was the night Justin Carr was killed, and it’s really making me question how witnesses could confidently identify what happened at that moment. With everything going on—tear gas, shouting, the general chaos—I imagine it would be nearly impossible to have a clear view or understanding of individual actions. It’s painful to think that amidst seeking justice for Keith Lamont Scott and Carr, we might overlook how disorder can cloud truth. I can't even begin to imagine what Justin’s family is going through, losing a loved one amidst broader conflicts. It's crucial we continue to scrutinize every facet of this case, not just for Carr's family, but also for justice to truly stand on firm ground. Would love to hear other thoughts on the reliability of the evidence.
