I’ve been following the case of April Oxendine, and it keeps weighing on my mind that this senseless tragedy happened over a dispute. It’s hard to wrap my head around how a disagreement could escalate to such violence, especially impacting someone who wasn’t even involved. With April being such a respected member of her community, it’s clear that her loss is a devastating blow. To think about how she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time is so tragic. My heart goes out to her loved ones, especially David Locklear, who must be having a hard time coming to terms with this. It’s daunting to think that the community has lost someone who embodied kindness and support, as it sounds like she did. I hope more people are able to come forward with information to give her family and friends some peace.
