Reading about Wilma Petty's case really got to me. It's so difficult to comprehend how quickly life can change, and from something as innocent as picking up a grandchild from a party. I came across an article that mentioned how vibrant and community-focused she was. It’s clear she was a beloved figure and didn't deserve to be a victim of such senseless violence. I really hope that with the recent push from the community and this reward, someone will come forward with information to help bring some peace to her family. They deserve answers and, more importantly, justice. Any updates on community events or vigils being planned in her memory? Keeping her family in my thoughts.

I can't help but feel a deep empathy for Wilma Petty's family and their ongoing pain. Being caught in crossfire while picking up her granddaughter, Wilma's tragic death serves as a grim reminder of how innocent lives are being senselessly impacted by violence. What troubles me the most is the lack of progress despite a reward and the pleas from her family for information. How can a vibrant community like Charlotte, with so many caring people, still let this case remain unsolved? Wilma wasn't the intended target, and yet her family is left to carry this unimaginable burden. Have there been any steps taken to address the underlying issues of violence in that area? I hope the community can rally around Wilma's family, showing strength and compassion, and perhaps spark the change needed to prevent further tragedies like this.

I can't stop thinking about the flower memorial that neighbors set up for Wilma Petty on 28th Street. It’s just so moving to see the community come together like this, but it also reminds us of how deeply this tragedy has touched everyone. Wilma seemed like such a loving grandmother, just trying to get her granddaughter home safely that evening. It’s infuriating that her family has to wait so long for answers. How can it be that someone can just vanish after doing something so horrible? I hope more people come forward with any information to help finally bring some peace to Wilma’s loved ones. She deserves justice, and her family deserves closure. Thoughts are with them all during such a difficult time.
