I was reflecting on the role of the community in supporting justice for Dominique Maxwell Daguizan. It’s devastating to think about how such a promising young life was cut short right here in Elizabeth City. I've heard from some locals that Dominique was well-liked and had a bright future ahead of him. I'm concerned about how these violent incidents impact not just the victim's loved ones but the neighborhood as a whole. I've noticed there's often a silence that surrounds these tragedies in smaller towns. People might feel afraid to come forward or think their information isn't significant enough. But it's crucial we all understand that even the smallest detail might help the authorities piece things together and bring some justice for Dominique and his family. So if anyone saw something or has heard anything, please don't hold back. Authorities have assured anonymity for those who provide information. This is about ensuring safety and justice in our community, and every little bit helps.
