Has anyone else noticed the sense of determination from Ruben's friends and family to make something positive out of such an awful situation? I attended the vigil on November 9, and it was truly moving to witness how the community came together in solidarity. It's incredible to see them pushing for change, not just seeking justice for Ruben but also focusing on preventing more senseless violence. The community's resilience really stood out to me, and the tribute they made with balloons and flowers at the site where he was killed was poignant. I hope the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department can catch a break soon and bring some closure to this tragic case. It's crucial we all continue to support the community, share Ruben's story, and refuse to let his light fade away without making a lasting impact.
