Has anyone else been thinking about the timeline around the welfare check? It's just so troubling to think about how long it might have taken before someone realized something was wrong at the Blacks' home. I can't help but wonder if there were any signs that friends or neighbors might have missed leading up to that day. The couple seemed to be such a cornerstone in their community, giving so much of themselves to others and their church. It's just crushing to think they could have been in danger, and no one knew or could help in time. I understand it's a tough topic, but did anyone local hear anything unusual or see anything strange around that time? It feels like we should be talking about how we can watch out for each other more closely, especially for our elderly neighbors who might be less able to speak up for themselves. My heart goes out to their family and everyone who knew them; living with such a senseless loss must be unimaginably difficult.
