D.P. Black, a 91-year-old man from Aberdeen, NC, was found dead on July 9, 2021, during a welfare check at his home on Roseland Road. His wife, Mary Lou Black, aged 86, was also found deceased inside the home. Both victims were shot to death, with D.P. Black discovered on the porch and Mary Lou Black inside the house.
