Has anyone looked into Flapjaw’s Saloon to see if the staff there might have seen or heard anything back in 1980? It's such a pivotal location in this whole mystery. Someone must have noticed Karen, especially since she would have been visibly upset if she knew she was meeting with Officer Simon under those conditions. I'm also curious about the timeline when she supposedly left the saloon. If Karen was followed, or planned to meet someone else, surely there’d be something on the books somewhere. Maybe someone remembers an unusual event or interaction that night? I just can't wrap my head around how she vanished without a trace right after being seen at such a public place. Keeping a close eye on this thread to see if anyone digs up something new.
Has anyone else come across any information about the apartment that Rick Simon supposedly offered Karen Koppel? I find it strange that no details about this apartment have ever surfaced publicly. Was it ever found or checked out by the investigators at the time? I wonder if it was an actual location or just another empty promise. If it were real, it could hold some clues. Has anyone ever looked into the possibility of a larger cover-up involving the CPD? I mean, it's definitely suspicious that Officer Rick Simon was involved, being a close friend of Stein. Why would a police officer put himself in the middle of what was clearly a personal mess unless there was pressure from someone higher up or some vested interest? It's hard to ignore the potential connection to organized crime, given Stein's alleged ties.
