Hey everyone, I came across Tommi Lee Cooper's case and it really got me thinking about the strange circumstances surrounding the discovery of her car. I find it so odd that Tommi's vehicle was just left abandoned near 51st and Woodbine with her makeup kit and money still inside. It makes me wonder if she actually intended to go there or if someone else drove her car to that location. Like, was it a meeting point that went wrong, or did someone leave it there to divert attention from another area? It's baffling that no signs of struggle were found, and yet she just vanished. Anyone else have thoughts on why the car was found there and not somewhere else like closer to where she worked or where she was last seen? Is it just me, or are there way too many loose ends in how this was handled back in the day? Would love to hear everyone's theories or if anyone's got more info on that particular area back in 1981.
Has anyone else noticed the location where Tommi's car was found? It's just sitting there, like, abandoned, with money still in the glove compartment? It seems a bit odd, right? Especially because you'd expect money to be the first thing taken if someone were intending to steal or tamper with the car. Could it be that whoever did this was in a hurry or perhaps didn't want to attract attention by taking cash? Or maybe... could it point to someone who wasn’t motivated by money? 51st and Woodbine isn't too far from where she worked at the Sun Club, and I keep wondering if there's some significance to choosing that specific spot. It seems so methodical in an unsettling way. Curious to hear other thoughts on this aspect—was it just a random dump location, or something more deliberate?
Has anyone else looked into the possibility of Tommi being in Reno that day? I know she mentioned she might go there before disappearing. It seems like a pretty impulsive move, especially for a young mom, but maybe she was meeting someone or there was an event she was drawn to. I get that the concert option in Oakland seems more plausible for a night out, but Reno is not that far from where she was living. I wonder if anyone checked the bus or train stations for sightings or if there were any hotel check-ins under her name or an alias. I feel like there's gotta be some digitized records from that time now, right? Just something I keep circling back to, given how little there is to go on. Thoughts?
