I've been thinking a lot about the impact on Officer Hampton's family, especially his wife and young son. It's hard to imagine the pain of losing someone so suddenly, especially when he had just started his journey in law enforcement. He was out there to serve and protect, and this senseless act cut his promising life short. It's incredibly frustrating to know that the person responsible was acquitted. I hope the Hampton family has found some semblance of peace over the years, and I wish them all the support they need. Officer Hampton’s commitment to his community should never be forgotten, and his story is a powerful reminder of the risks that officers face every day.
