I keep thinking about the impact this tragedy had on Chauncy’s kids, especially with how pivotal he seemed in their lives. It breaks my heart to think about their loss and the future milestones he won't be there for. A good friend of mine works in recreational therapy too, just like Chauncy did, and she’s always emphasizing how important community and family are in that line of work. I wonder if anyone from Chauncy's professional circle has spoken out or shared memories. Sometimes, stories from colleagues or people he helped can shine a light on aspects of his life that we don't always see. I really hope the community's continued support helps his children feel surrounded by love and that justice finally brings some sense of peace for them and the family.
