I was recently reading about Carl Carnelius "Plook" Windmon Sr., and his story truly struck a chord with me. I've been thinking a lot about how important community support can be in times of loss, especially after tragic events like this. It seems like Carl was a shining light for his loved ones and those around him, and it's heartbreaking to see such a vibrant life cut short. One thing I've noticed over the years, especially in communities like New Orleans that have faced so much adversity, is the incredible strength and unity people show when they come together. It must be incredibly difficult for Carl's family and friends to cope without him, but I hope they feel surrounded by love and support from those who remember him. If anyone reading this knew Carl or his family personally, it would be wonderful to hear more about the positive impact he had when he was alive. Sharing stories and memories often helps keep a person's spirit alive and can be a comforting way to honor their memory. Do any of you have similar experiences where community became a source of strength after a loss?
