Does anyone else find it odd that Marie's car was spotted by local law enforcement on the same day she disappeared, yet it took them until September 5 to actually tie it to her case? I mean, I get that the forest area is large and not heavily trafficked, but it feels like a missed opportunity in terms of investigating her whereabouts back then. If authorities had connected the dots earlier, we might have had a better chance of finding out what happened to her. Has anyone heard if there were follow-ups about why her vehicle wasn't linked sooner, or if any officer who saw it that day had more details? It's like there are pieces of this puzzle that just slipped through the cracks.
