I was reading about the tragic case of Ramal Ellis, and something that really hit home for me was the part about his mom, Ruthell Ellis. I can’t even imagine the pain she must have gone through, realizing the sounds she thought were firecrackers were actually gunshots that took her son's life. It’s just so unimaginable and surreal, the kind of thing that stays with you forever. Ramal’s story is especially gut-wrenching because of how close he was to making his dreams a reality. He was studying psychology, had his whole future ahead of him, and by all accounts, he was a great young man with ambitions to help others. It’s really sad to think about what the world has lost with his passing. I truly hope anyone with information will come forward to help Ruthell and the rest of Ramal’s family find some answers. They deserve to know why this happened to someone who had no enemies and so much promise. The case being unsolved after all these years must be like a wound that hasn't healed. Maybe increased awareness will lead to some much-needed breakthrough. Sending love and strength to all who knew and cared for him.
